Last Night: Tame Impala at Fitzgerald’s
guys it was so good. i was basically smiling like a goddamn idiot the entire time.
unknown mortal orchestra- swim & sleep
umo’s show last night was pretty damn fantastic- great translation from studio to a live set, which is more than i could say about foxygen’s opening performance. good at moments, the dude is enthusiastic and i love seeing that on stage but the band behind him needs to tighten up big time.
and i’ve got tame impala coming up on monday- definitely the most excited i’ve been for a single show in a while. ahhh gotta love springtime in texas.
Helio Sequence - October
very good chance i could go to this show by myself tomorrow. that’d kinda be nice.

Ducktails - “Letter of Intent”
got to see this guy Ducktails* at ktru’s spring show back in 2011! it was just him, his guitar, some pedals and a drum machine.
this sounds amazing.
Though previous Ducktails records were largely solo records from Mondanile, Flower Lane was a more collaborative effort, as previously reported. Mondanile was backed by New Jersey band Big Troubles and joined by Oneohtrix Point Never’s Daniel Lopatin, Joel Ford of Ford & Lopatin/Airbird, Madeline Follin of Cults, Sam Mehran of Outer Limitz, Jessa Farkas of Future Shuttle, and others. The record also features a cover of ”Planet Phrom” by New Zealand artist Peter Gutteridge (of the Chills and the Clean).
this dude gets around. oh yeah, he’s also the guitarist for Real Estate.
no sir e - fall drop (live set)
sup guys. it’s wednesday and this week has already been rough. you know why i’m not stressing tho?
cause i’m going to a warehouse party on saturday in the heights. yall should too.
This is a night of live (let me repeat that, LIVE), real-time, electronic production. Lots of samplers, programming, live loop mashing, weird tech, and gnarly custom effect chains going on with this shit.
$7 (1 ticket) or $10 (2 tickets) gets you a map (it’ll help), address, gets you inside (will call situation), gets you parking and a cup. Yes, all night. This shit is going till question mark! But the location won’t be published until two days prior. At that point it’ll be cash ($7) at the door. Purchase advance tickets & directions using paypal or all the card type stuff below which helps us pay for sound and supplies! Thanks!
